About Di T, Esq.
A specialized law firm that is dedicated to providing comprehensive, kind, fair, thorough and personable Guardian ad litem services to all families. Bringing her Master's degree in Social Work and five years of on the ground social work experience to the firm, Laura provides a unique framework as a Guardian ad litem. She was trained as a social worker first, then decided to complete law school so that she could better advocate for her clients. She is passionate about helping children and ensuring they are happy, healthy, and safe.
About Laura
Laura has had a dedication to helping children since high school. She went into college knowing that she wanted to be a social worker, with a specialization in child protective services and adoption. Laura graduated from NC State with a Bachelor's degree in social work and then immediately continued her education at UNC Charlotte and received her Master's in social work.

Laura then worked as a Child Advocate Social Worker at the Philadelphia Defender's Association where she worked directly alongside attorneys with the goal of keeping children happy and safe.

This job inspired Laura to go to law school herself, so that she could be the one advocating in the courtroom. Laura attended the University of Richmond and graduated Cum Laude in 2023. Laura passed the Maine bar exam and is a licensed attorney in Maine.

When not working, Laura can be found outside with her family, cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes, running half marathons and enjoying life in Maine.
